The Jiayuguan Branch of Gansu Hongda is located in the Jingtieshan mining area in the heart of the Qilian Mountains in western Gansu Province. The Jingtieshan Mine is located at an altitude ranging from 2,640 meters to 3,900 meters. With thin oxygen and a cold climate, the annual freezing period lasts for as long as seven months. For decades, under extremely harsh natural conditions and living conditions, several generations of workers at the Jiayuguan Branch have always adhered to the "Tieshan Spirit" of hard work, perseverance, self-sacrifice and pioneering progress. Through long-term efforts and struggles, they have undergone a transformation from nothing to something, from small to large, and from weak to strong. Rise to the challenge and fight the epidemic

The year 2020 was a tough one, a year of growth, and an even more significant and extraordinary one in the company's development history.

At the beginning of the year, the epidemic broke out suddenly, leaving over 20 employees stranded in other places and unable to return to work. Faced with such an unfavorable situation, the company's staff did not flback down in the slightest. All on-duty cadres and workers took the initiative to assume responsibilities, rose to the challenge, and took on multiple roles. From management to operation, from production to maintenance, from storage to loading and unloading, from drivers to chefs, they remained at their posts for over 30 days despite the severe shortage of staff. It has provided a solid guarantee for epidemic prevention and control, safe production, stable production and supply guarantee, as well as the realization of business goals.

At the end of September, the company successfully completed the annual production task of emulsion explosives, winning time, taking the initiative and creating conditions for the technological transformation of the emulsion explosives production line.

During the renovation of the explosive production line, the dismantling of old equipment and facilities poses numerous safety risks. To ensure the safety of the entire dismantling process, the company organized personnel at all levels to visit the production site from front to back, from top to bottom, and from the open to the dark, to conduct a thorough investigation, identification, analysis, and assessment of potential risks in each process, each piece of equipment, and every corner. Targeted measures and procedures for dismantling and explosive disposal were formulated. After multiple discussions, the demolition and disposal plan for the emulsion explosive production line, the cross-construction plan for demolition and civil engineering, and the winter construction operation plan were improved, providing guidance and support for the subsequent work.

As the production line is located in a high mountain area and it is winter operation, the quotations from several outsourcing installation units are much higher than the company's expectations. For this reason, the company has decided to handle all the work involved in the technical transformation of the production line, such as the removal of detonators, equipment installation, and pipeline erection (laying), by itself. The only three maintenance personnel were far from meeting the requirements of the renovation and installation. The company mobilized all staff to participate and organized technical training for various personnel such as operation, storage and quality inspection in their spare time before the renovation. In the later stage of the renovation, this "non-professional" team not only accomplished the renovation and installation tasks excellently but also saved the company over 300,000 yuan in installation costs.

On October 3rd, the detonating and dismantling work of the equipment and facilities of the emulsion explosive production line officially began. This renovation involves a considerable amount of civil construction work. The cross-operation of blasting removal and civil construction poses a significant risk. Therefore, the company will first carry out overall blasting removal on the production line. After blasting removal, each part will be dismantled, cleaned up and inspected one by one. After inspection, it will be handed over to the civil construction. Once the civil construction is completed, the equipment installation will begin. On October 7th, the blasting removal work was fully completed. All links were smoothly connected, effectively ensuring the construction progress.

During the equipment installation process, the company, based on the experience summarized from the previous explosion-proof demolition construction, continued to optimize the construction organization and seize the progress of the renovation. During the renovation period, the company's Party branch established a Party member assault team, which was divided into groups and assigned to specific areas to ensure safety, quality and project schedule. The leading group adheres to daily dispatch and summary. Every day, it holds pre-shift meetings at different levels, rationally divides tasks based on the day's tasks and personnel characteristics, and explains the key points of work and safety precautions on the spot. Each group closely cooperates and collaborates efficiently. All employees work together with one heart, undaunted by hardships, leaving early and returning late every day, working through the stars and the moon. Despite the temperature dropping to over 20 degrees below zero, one always maintains high enthusiasm and vigorous energy. During the equipment installation process, the company's employees, with a highly responsible and dedicated spirit, strived for excellence and meticulousness. They learned while working and worked while learning, doing every little thing with all their heart and soul, striving to improve the installation efficiency and ensure the project quality.

On December 2nd, after 56 days and nights of hard work, all the equipment and facilities of the emulsion explosive production line were installed in place. Looking at the brand-new workshop and the brand-new equipment, everyone was filled with countless emotions. Behind this lies the hard work and sweat of all the employees, and it is the fruit of their diligent efforts.

On December 22nd, after obtaining the trial production approval from the provincial Department of Industry and Information Technology, the company's emulsion explosive production line successfully completed the trial production in one go. The products were sent to Jinchuan Company on the same day, achieving the goal of early commissioning and early effectiveness of the renovation project.

The successful automation and intelligence transformation of the emulsion explosive production line has once again set the company on a new journey. In 2021, the emulsion explosive production line was officially put into operation. With brand-new equipment and processes, in order to understand, master and master it as soon as possible, the majority of employees have been constantly exploring and practicing, improving the process equipment and optimizing the production process. As a result, they have achieved gratifying results in enhancing the comprehensive efficiency of the production line, energy conservation, consumption reduction and profit creation. In the middle of the year, the company was merged into Guangdong Hongda, and the brand-new concept refreshed the perception of state-owned enterprises among the employees of the Jiayuguan Branch. Although both are state-owned enterprises, there are still differences in culture and management models between the north and the south. The emulsion explosive production line operated efficiently and stably, the sales logistics of explosives were smooth, the innovation of employees' positions and minor improvements were remarkable, the project construction was advanced on schedule, and the business results improved significantly. In the fourth quarter, the national epidemic prevention and control situation was severe and complex. The company's staff and workers were courageous in taking on responsibilities and willing to contribute. The employees at the production sites remained at their posts and fulfilled their duties for over 60 days during the epidemic. The transportation drivers ate and lived in their vehicles, with the longest consecutive three days and three nights without getting off the vehicle. Under the care of the superior government departments and the correct leadership of the company's leaders at all levels, the company's epidemic prevention and control as well as production and operation work have been carried out in an orderly manner, achieving a good situation of no shortage of grain internally and no shortage of goods for customers, and making due contributions to the local economic development and epidemic prevention and control.

Round after round of spring, summer, autumn and winter, one rain, snow, wind and frost after another, one tireless figure of striving. It increased the production capacity of explosives, adjusted the product structure, and expanded the sales market. The annual production capacity of the emulsion explosive production line was expanded from 2,300 tons to 12,000 tons, and three on-site mixing ground stations were successively built. The workplace and living environment for employees have been improving year by year, the level of production automation has been continuously enhanced, and the sense of happiness, belonging and cohesion of employees has been constantly strengthened.
